Everybody's Nintendo Channel launches.

Watch trailers from the new channel.
Nintendo has launched the "Everybody's Nintendo Channel" in Japan.

Available on the new channel is a list of the new games being released that week (as well as the last two weeks of releases) on all of Nintendo's platforms including Virtual Console, a game recommendation section, and plenty of downloadables.

The game recommendation section asks you a few multiple-choice questions about what you own; your age, gender, and where you think the game performs best (single or multiplayer) and which categories it fits into (easy or hard, casual or hardcore, etc).

As for the downloadable content, you'll find a plethora of streaming videos; television adverts, interviews, and trailers, to name but a few types of potential content that is and will be available here. Also are demos for Nintendo DS games. By switching your DS into download play, you can choose demos to send to your DS. Right now you'll only find "Touch! Generations" games, but you're more than likely to find new releases, both big and small, as the channel grows in size.

You can also learn about upcoming and released games, via gamepages with informational content similar to what you'll find here at Club Skill. You can view the boxart, a summary of the game, and basic information, such as players and modes - and what other people in your 'group' (by age, gender, and game style preferences) think of the game.

The channel is certainly a nice invitation to discover new software for your Wii, and a step in the right direction for Nintendo.
