- Falls in crime rates with regards dwellings burgled and also theft from motor vehicles have occurred over the last three years.
Encouraging learning, leisure and creativity
- Achievement at Key Stage 2 in both English and maths is above average at both Level 4+ and Level 5+. Results are also higher than the England average except for Level 5+ in maths and science

- Road accidents are most significant at the M60/M61 junction. Across the rest of the ward, accident clusters exist around the town centre (including the rear entrance of Walkden shopping centre), along the A575, the A6, and the A5082.
