April 26, 2007 - Looks like the DS has another huge hit on its hands over in Japan. Capcom is the latest to benefit from the DS craze with record breaking sales of Gyakuten Saiban 4, the latest Japanese entry in the Phoenix Wright series. The title has crossed the 500,000 shipped mark two weeks after its release, the company announced today, easily making this the most popular entry in courtroom adventure series.

Spurred by recent sales, the series has now topped the 2 million worldwide sales mark. And that doesn't even include registered users of the Gyakuten Saiban mobile sites, which Capcom claims has also crossed the 500,000 mark.

Capcom's shareholders, much like fans of the series, probably won't object to a fifth Gyakuten Saiban game.
