Are you interested in covering your favorite sports team(s) for MVN? Or perhaps just interested in jumping on board what is fast becoming an independent sports media powerhouse? Feel free to send us an application!

Send an e-mail with your name and desired team(s) to applicants@mvn.com. Just be sure to include the name of the desired team(s) and sport in the subject.

We are always looking for new writers, partners or new sports to be covered; so give us a try! Just because you don’t see the sport or team listed does not mean we don’t want to carry it – we just don’t have them yet. That is where you come in!

There are obviously guideline and agreements as with any Sports Network or job for that matter. Please feel free to read our FAQ section to catch up on those guidelines and any frequently asked questions.

Applicants must be willing to update each individual page 3 times a week [at minimum] and be at least 18 years of age. This is subject to change by each individual sport director, who may require less or more posts per week, and may alter the age requirement at their discretion.

All logos, writings, etc. while under MVN’s employment belong to MVN. MVN will not allow created logos out of the organization, but as long as you ask, columns will be allowed to be republished outside MVN. When you depart MVN, your writings will be retained on MVN in it’s archives.

All writers have 100% control over what they write (except for obscenity). The opinions of those writers may or may not reflect upon the opinions of MVN as a whole.

If accepted the writer must complete a short training period where they learn photo editing techniques as well as headline and content techniques, and must consent to the following:

1. All submissions become the property of Most Valuable Network, LLC, and reprinting in other media is prohibited without prior permission.
2. All submissions must comply to accepted decency standards. No obscenities, inflammatory or slanderous statements, or abusive comments will be tolerated and are grounds for immediate withdrawal of content, as well as withdrawal of writing/podcasting privileges, without reimbursement. Comments policy is such that

Anything that is not spam, slanderous, or overly antagonistic cannot be deleted,

Corrections by readers to an article should not be deleted (though should be clarified in the post),

Disagreements or dissenting points of view should never be deleted, and lastly

All submissions must comply to accepted decency standards. No obscenities, inflammatory or slanderous statements, or abusive comments will be tolerated.

    3. We value your insights, analysis, and reporting. Please make sure that the insights are yours. Plagiarism is one of the most serious offenses a journalist can commit. All quotes must be attributed, all original thoughts yours.
    4. Likewise all photographs used should be used with permission of the owner, with proper attribution.
    5. If you attain press credentials for the team or sport you cover, please remember that you are an ambassador of MVN while in the press box, and that your behavior reflects upon us all.
    6. The Director of each respective sport sets a minimum rate of posting – usually the bare minimum for a sport in season is twice a week, with more strongly preferred. Your sports Director will have more detail in this regard.
    7. Most Valuable Network may choose, at its discretion, to assign you a writing partner. This is not necessarily a reflection on the quality or frequency of your output.
    8. Have fun! However corny that sounds, positive energy comes through in your writing loud and clear.

All guidelines and policies are subject to change without notification.
