Camp Stearns was founded in 1968 by the former Viking Council BSA; and was originally called Camp Heritage, latter being changed to Stearns in 1985.
Sub Camps:
There are 6 sub camps inside Camp Stearns: Family Camp, Camp Gilwell, Camp Heritage, Camp Vikingland, Camp Whitewater, & Camp Woodland.
Lakes/Rivers:
There are 6 lakes at camp: Lake Augusta, Lake Caroline, Cub Lake, Little Otter Lake, Otter Lake, Scout Lake, & there are also 2 more unnamed ponds. The Clearwater River also flows through camp boundaries.
Uses:
Stearns Scout Camp is used year round by the Northern Star Council BSA. Uses include Stearns Cub Camp, District Camporees, OA Conclaves, Training Camps, Troop Campouts, & Council Camporall's.
Stearns Cub Camp:
Stearns Scout Camp is currently host to Heritage Cub Resident Camp, & Whitewater Webelos Resident Camp.
