Five offers chance to test digital

CHANNEL Five has now launched in Whitehaven – allowing those with set-top boxes to try out their new equipment.
Five is the first digital TV signal to be beamed from the Bigrigg transmitter, ahead of the switchover on October 17.
However, it’s only in Whitehaven. The rest of Copeland will have to wait until 2009 to receive Five. They will however receive other digital channels from October 17.
To check if you can receive Five, turn on your TV first and then your set-top box. Find the set-up menu and tune in the box; it will hopefully find Five.
This will probably be the only digital channel you find at the moment so turn off the set-top box to go back to analogue TV.
Digital UK: 08456 50 50 50.
