The Royal Flag

After the twelfth century, the Arya Cakravarti, Kings of Jaffna, used the victorious Bull flag. The symbols on the Royal flag are the bull (Nandi) couchant, the silver crescent moon with a golden sun, the conch shell and in the centre above the bull, is a white parasol with golden tassels and white pearls.

The colour of the Royal flag is golden saffron, with a white border. The colours, which have been chosen for the Coat of Arms, the Personal Standard and for the Royal Flag, are auspicious colours.
