I thought this would be a nice piece to practice making mock picots - split rings and split chains. The center is a ring with a mock picot. Working out for the first round using a split ring, and ending with a split chain.
Then the second round is worked around and ending with a split chain. Or if using as a snowflake you can work the second round in regular manner, and stop there.
If making the edging a chain is used and the top ring is a split. (Click Photo For Pattern, with a few photo's on how to.)
