Crochet Snowpeople

Items needed:

Small amount any weight yarn
Small amount stuffing
Crochet hook
Tapestry needle
Embroidery floss or thread for mouth
2 small beads for eyes (these could be embroidered also, or wiggle eyes can be used)
Any desired accessories (I made carrot shaped noses from polymer clay, you can add buttons on the body, make little earmuffs or a hat and mittens, a scarf, a broom, etc.)
Any weight yarn (or thread) can be used with an appropriate hook. Size will change according to type of yarn and hook used. I used fine fuzzy yarn with a B steel hook, and the finished man was approximately 4 inches tall. With Lion Brand Jiffy yarn and a 'I' hook, height was about 7 1/2 inches.

To make sc decrease, insert hook in first st, yo, pull up loop, insert hook in second st, yo, pull up loop, yo, pull through all three loops on hook.

Stuff a little bit more stuffing into the neck

Head:

Rnd 9:  (Sc, sc decrease) and repeat around (16 sc)
Rnd 10:  Sc decrease around (8 sc) If you're working with a small hook and fine yarn, you should probably stuff the head before the next round
Rnd 11:  Sc decrease around (4 sc)

Sl st in next st, end off leaving a few inches long yarn tail. Stuff head.

Use yarn tail and tapestry needle to gather up the opening.

Finishing:

Pull any trailing ends into the body with the tapestry needle. Add any accessories you like.
