f you were at the Anime Weekend Atlanta convention last weekend, you likely heard some exciting news.

ADV Films announced that they have acquired the new anime series MADLAX, one of many brilliant creations from Bee Train (Noir, .hack//SIGN). The new series is expected to be released on video by ADV and broadcast on the hot new cable channel, Anime Network.

"We've been waiting for this show ever since Noir ended," co-founder Matt Greenfield said. A Vice President at ADV Films, Greenfield was also the writer, producer and director of the English version of Noir.

What's MADLAX about?

The perfect "girls with guns" anime, MADLAX is the story of a female gun-for-hire (Madlax) and a student (Margaret) who uncover a deadly connection between them. In their quest to discover the truth, they must face some seriously dark forces that would just as soon see them both dead. High-action and edge-of-your-seat intensity, MADLAX promises to be the next big anime hit.
