[12/12/2007] --Researchers digging in Antarctica have stumbled upon a new giant, plant-eating dinosaur that dates back to the Early Jurassic period, about 190 million years ago. Named Glacialisaurus hammeri, the dino is a primitive sauropodomorph - a group of dinosaurs that produced the largest animals to ever walk the earth, including the long-necked herbivores, Diplodocus and Apatosaurus.

[12/10/2007] -- The latest addition to the International Space Station won't be lofted into orbit until at least January, after not one but two fuel gauge sensor failures caused NASA to postpone a planned weekend launch of Space Shuttle Atlantis. Then, an additional sensor failure caused mission managers to close the December launch window altogether.
[12/10/2007] -- The first team to announce it will attempt to land a robotic rover on the Moon's surface and cash-in on a $20 million prize will rely on Canadian technology firms to build their systems. Odyssey Moon is the first entry into a competition that literally shoots for the Moon: Google is funding an X PRIZE that will see teams compete to land a robotic rover and send back hi-definition pictures before 2013.

Scientists from the University of Manchester, the Manchester Museum and the Photon Science Institute (PSI), are applying physics to investigate the effects of global warming on tree frogs, as well as the unique properties of their skin.

[11/28/2007] -- The small, misshapen, dark moons named after the Roman gods of fear and terror have been images by the most prolific Mars probe to date, according to NASA. Usually the Mars Reconnaissance Oribiter keeps its gaze turned downwards towards the Mars surface. But over the last several months NASA has turned the orbiter on its side and switched to a different instrument as the orbiter moved through Martian nightfall.

[11/26/2007] -- Viewing digitally-altered photos can affect the way you remember and perceive historic events, a new study suggests: A team of American and Italian researchers has found that when they presented participants with digitally-altered images depicting the 1989 Tiananmen Square protest in Beijing and a 2003 anti-war protest in Rome, the participants recalled these events inaccurately.
