If you drink this powerful and rare potion you will be resurrected when you die, without harm to you or your equipment.

When you are resurrected, the level is regenerated. Any unique monster you may have damaged will be back at full health. All items you may have shot, thrown or dropped and hoped to pick back up will be gone.

If you worship Eru and are lucky enough to be resurrected by him, this will occur before the Blood of Life saves you. If relevant, Undead Form occurs before both Eru resurrection and the effects of the Blood of Life.

You must drink the potion before you die... There is no reason not to drink the potion as soon as you find it, other than the fear that drinking it will engorge and slow you. So, unless you've just used a Satisfy Hunger effect (scroll, Lembas, Ent's Potion, etc), drink it.

StarweaverBlue: Shouldn't this be something like "Drinking this potion will imbue your body and soul with the power to escape death by unnatural (e.g. things killing you), one time."? The current text sorta sounds like you need to drink it after dying ...

ZasVid: Actually, there ain't any text on Blood of Life in-game. This one was made up by me just for here - you can change it if you want.

Senseless Chatter

Celebfin: Wow ZasVid, you have horrible grammer.

NeilStevens: Wow, you have lousy spelling.

TheFalcon: Wow, this thread is snarky. ;) (*tries to start an edit war* :p)

EwanMcNay: Oh, c'mon, that's not trying. I mean - can a reason (as opposed to the player) be sane? [Heck, can a thread - as opposed to the posters - be snarky?] Should I go in and correct the spelling of resurrection? Should 'before' be replaced by 'instead' - or, better, should the sentences be rephrased to discuss the flow-chart of life-saving possibilities? Snark? Thus far? Ha :).

ReenenLaurie: I think Neil referred to the word "grammer". Grammer did get 1 hit in dictionary.com.

Shoob: I have a question, if you drink this potion, and you have the death fate, so you enter that level, if you die on it will it accept your death or will you be reborn on death level?

FeathinSilyar: I just tested it in debug mode, and yeah you are just reborn on the death level.
