I heard parts of Turn it on Again, Invisible Touch & Behind The Lines! ................... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) ............................... BEHIND THE LINES???? ................... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) ............................... Wow, if you heard an instrumental snippet of that song, it could either mean the beginning or the end of Duke. This is great news! Thanks Sussudio, I'll save an extra hug for you in Berne. Sadir... the medal, please. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) |

ATTENTION: *** SPOILERS TO FOLLOW! ***
A few quotes from Nick Davis (who's in Cossonay now) that he posted on the G Forum: Posted Apr 30th: "rehearsed a couple of tracks off trick of the tail yesterday. things starting to come together. very hot in the hall." ... and his first reply to fans asking for song details: "i could tell you but i wouldn't want to make a splash" Posted about 2 hrs ago: "ran through the full set yesterday, some songs coming together better than others. set starts royally and has a wooly ending... at the moment anyway. there is no suppers ready so don't ask. everyone seems in good spirits, we're running through it all again today." This still leaves a lot room for speculation but the "splash" in relation to the TOTT hint could probably lead to Ripples. A "royally" start - maybe Duchess or the Duke Suite? And the "wooly" ending - something off LLDOB e.g. Carpet Crawlers? |

"rehearsed a couple of tracks off trick of the tail yesterday. i could tell you but i wouldn't want to make a splash" I think it could be Los Endos and either Dance On A Volcano or Squonk. It still seems unlikely to me that Ripples will be played in a stadium. Not in its entirety, at least. Too long & slow at the same time, and blah blah blah, etc. etc., sadly. "ran through the full set yesterday, some songs coming together better than others. set starts royally and has a wooly ending... at the moment anyway. there is no suppers ready so don't ask. everyone seems in good spirits, we're running through it all again today." Carpet Crawlers definitely seems to be in, maybe it won't be played so late in the set, though. The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway could be, instead. What did he mean with the word "ending" mean, also? The encores? The end of the show before the encores? I have the feeling they might as well play some huge chapters from their back catalogue. Some pieces of Duke together, a new Lamb Stew.... The Lamb was the main reason why they wanted to reform with Peter and Steve, so they might as well still want to play a portion of it, condensing some songs into a sort of medley right before the last couple songs of the proper show. If there's a thing I hope it won't happen, though - even if I'll love every second of the shows I'll attend - is that, in a desperate attempt to please everybody (and, last but not least, themselves), they'll end up playing 10 or 12 bits of songs crammed together in a few medleys, à la Mama Tour for instance. There are so many songs being mentioned as rehearsed, heard or rumoured, and since there'll surely be the obligatory bunch of hits, I can't help thinking that this selection of shows will feature lots of selections of songs... unless they'll decide to play for three hours, which never happened when they were younger, let alone now. |

"Royally start" could also mean Eleventh Earl Of Mar for example.
