Often when we use water, we change it by adding wastes from our kitchens, laundries, bathrooms and
businesses. This water is cleaned at the wastewater treatment plant and then put back into the
natural water cycle.
The City of Greshams Wastewater Treatment Plant serves a population of approximately 101,000 customers
and treats wastewater from the cities of Gresham, Fairview and Wood Village. The
plant treats an average of 13 million gallons of wastewater per day.
The public and school groups may tour the wastewater treatment plant,
located just north and west of Northeast 201st Avenue and Northeast
Sandy Boulevard. Call 503-618-3450 to schedule a tour.
