Bill Zorzi, who has written for "The Wire" the past two seasons, is a former reporter and editor for The Sun of Baltimore.
During his nearly 20 years at The Sun, Zorzi covered a variety of beats cops and courts among them but for most of his newspaper career, he reported on government and politics. For five years in the mid-1990s, he wrote "The Political Game," a weekly column about Maryland politics. He left reporting in 1998 to become The Sun's Weekend Metropolitan Editor and later was Assistant City Editor.
Zorzi, a Baltimore native, left the paper in 2002 to develop a miniseries for HBO about the volatile events surrounding a federal public housing desegregation case in Yonkers, NY a project that is ongoing.
