According to both Elfgirl and Cate (you can't get more reliable than that kids!)... It seems that Sue, who is part of the U.S.
winter-over team this year at the South Pole, has just been sent a care package that includes a shiny new DVD copy of "A Dog's Breakfast" (Hilary, who sent it to her, you rock my trousers off! [not sure where I was going with that but it's obviously going to be a much less uptight Hewlett for '08!] This means that A Dog's Breakfast will be added to the South Pole video library. Apparently the team is completely cut off from February 18 through October or November - You can't get a more captive audience than that! Sue...send us a picture or a paw print from way down there...and congrats on the chilly gig!
Now we really MUST get MGM to hurry up and ship our poor North American bound mutt out Internationally for 2008! That, my lithe and lightning fast rodents, is going to be the next mission for the Hewlett/Loughman/Squirrel marketing pack! I'll get you some info and some kind of plan of action on that as soon as it's available to me.
And just to make it worth your while, you'll be happy to hear that "Heir of the Dog" is already being discussed (right now between me and my 3 month old son, but oh the plans Baz and I have made!) I'm hoping to have something tapped out for 2008...I mean, we have a kid and everything?!

Just thought I'd comment and let you know that I had a couple of friends over today and they chose to watch ADB and they really enjoyed it. The funny thing is, they had absolutely no idea that it was Paul in drag, they didn't even realize that it was a man. So well done
Congrats on the PCA win! and for making it to the South Pole!

Yay, a new picture of Mars for my computer’s background. My last one was from your blog “Blockbuster and Soundtrack on iTunes!”
I’d love to have a dog similar to Mars, but I have to make due with my house’s 5 cats. They can be so aloof!

Congratulations on the People's Choice award!!!
That speech was seriously 2 seconds long. It probably took you longer to sit down than it did to air that clip. XD

Also, congratulations on SGA's People's Choice Award for Favorite TV SciFi Show. It is a well deserved honor.

'Heir of the Dog,' eh?
ADB at the South Pole, how cool is that (no pun intended, I swear!)
Congrats on the People's Choice Award!!

Is this the next movie for Kibble productions, or is it a sequel? Hey, if it's the second one I've got a story to pitch! It's not fully written yet, but I know exactly what happens when and how it happens. Fully mapped and everything. I was even able to "logic it all out" myself.
How cool is that???
Written by Kdvb1 on 2008-01-09 15:55:15
WHERE DID YOU READ THAT?
(about ADB at the southpole)
Is it somewhere on ADB? Please post a link...pretty please???
ADB will be on EVERY continent soon! I knew you could take over the world...lol.
Ooooooh...Heir of the Dog? What a lovely double entendre...although maybe not so risque? I love the name. Don't you have another movie you are writing about zombies and home improvements or some such thing?
Oh, and the "you rock my trousers off" comment just made a bunch of fangirls sigh and SQUEEE! I think I was deafened by the sound...hehehe!
Thanks for the update,

First: OMG SNOW!!! I want snow! Has Baz been sledging yet? (I kind of suspect so, when Jane wasn't looking )
Secondly: Yes. MGM must be sat on hard because I want to see the damned thing! I still haven't forgiven you for airing it in London the day before I got there for Pegasus 2 and that's almost a year ago. A YEAR! *cries*
The sequel (it is a sequel right?) sounds fun. I have visions of Mars being followed about by millions of puppies like a warped version of 101 Dalmations. I worry about me sometimes.
I would say snowballs backatya but... no snow. Woe.
Written by Barcardicider on 2008-01-09 04:34:42
Snow!! Is that really snow? Haven't seen any of the white stuff (more than one flake) since 1984 - mind you I do live in the middle south - of England!
Got a cheap DVD player from Tesco's couple of years ago and thanks to a very enlighting webpage have managed to convert it to multi region - so now I can buy ADB from amazon.com AND Treed Murray (Get Down) AND Nothing - cos I just can't wait. Not that i'm impatient or anything

Hiya Hewlett Clan!,
Congrats!! SGA Best Sci-fi Show - as if we didnt already know that!!! We are plugging hard on TV.Com now so hopefully our efforts won't be wasted there!
ADB in the South Pole! Excellent! 50 Pats on the back to whoever thought of that one! Us squirrels cover a lot of international ground my friend - we can achieve anything we set our minds to!!
Visited Mars Official Fan Site last night! - How fun is that??!!! I had to have a giggle!
Keep it coming!
Lots Of Love

Hee hee, Rock your trousers off ,
I can't believe its been a year since you were over in the UK, screening ADB!
Time flies a lot can happen in a year, You'll be happy to learn (should you read this) that myself and codemonkey are expecting our very own codemonkey version 2.0 this summer.
It seems we've all been busy while you've been busy. Not quite polar exploration.....Im not sure where I was going with that either
Take care, hope to hear more from you guys in the new year
Written by MdGateFan on 2008-01-09 01:01:54
Great news all around. Winning the PCA and getting ADB's to such a captive audience. I am sure they will love it.
"Heir of the Dog"? Sounds interesting. Looking forward to what you, Jane, Baz and Mars come up with.
Written by kimberweeme on 2008-01-09 00:47:27
The South Pole! How exciting!
I'm a librarian and I've been trying and trying to get ADB on the order list for the system but it's always, always, always back ordered! (We aren't allowed to add back ordered items because it throws off the budget schedule.) I guess that could be either a good thing or a bad thing.
I'll keep plugging away, though, until it's safely in the system (and you and Baz can keep plugging away at "Heir of the Dog").
Congrats on the PCA win!

As an 'international' squirrel (read region 2 DVD !) I waited, and waited, and waited, while everybody was having fun watching and re-watching and watching ADB over and over again.
So I asked, and the aswer was that region 1 DVD can be played on the VLC player, which I'm using. So I ordered my copy from amazon.com about 2 days ago... (might I add that for the Europeans squirrels, it's a lot less expensive to buy stuff from the US, even with the shipping !)
Nevertheless, if you need us European squirrels to promote the movie all over again, no problem, will do. Don't know if a non dubbed movie would have much success in France, but I'm sure England would be a much better launching point anyway .
Give us a shout when you need, we'll be ready
Also congrats on both the people choice award and the fact that ADB is soon going to become a classic in the South Pole dvd library :D
Written by Cate8 on 2008-01-09 00:37:10
Those Southpolians are going to love the movie!! What better to watch over and over again during those very very cold winters.
Ah snow..I want more snow here.
Written by whovian on 2008-01-08 23:21:44
People's Choice winners OF COURSE
Hey, David, did ya see us squirrels are busy working our paws to the bone to vote SGA as the best sci-fi show for 2007 on tv.com?
You ask, we do. I'm sure whatever you need your rodent masses to do for the international release of ADB, we WILL DO IT!
Don't get frostbite! Washington looks mighty cold!
We're getting hot again in Florida. And my dogs are totally jealous Mars gets to play in the snow.

I'm still rewatching ADB, waiting on Design of the Dead and now I have another movie to wait for
Just kidding! Can't wait!
Mars is so cute, but he looks like "Let me back in. Now!"
We haven't seen that much snow in Louisville in years. It was 12 degrees a few days ago and we had wanna be snowflakes falling but now its 60 degrees.
Your Squirrel Minions await your commands!
Written by shansgrl on 2008-01-08 21:26:45
Ah, yes. I can see you and Baz now conspiring to take over the world.
Congrats on going global. Just let us know what you need us to do and your squirrel army shall get it done.
Mars looks great there! I can't tell if he wants to play or get the heck back inside and lounge by the fire. We had about that much snow until day before yesterday when it melted in the 50 some odd degree weather. Gotta love Ohio...wait 5 minutes and the weather changes. Then you get pneumonia.
Best to you, Jane, Baz and of course Mars.
Written by phynyxoffyre on 2008-01-08 21:15:12
Mars is so cute with the snow on his nose. Looks like my old silly hound dog after she's romped through the snow.
ADB at the pole. Now that is awesome!
And I definitely can't wait to hear more about 'Heir of the Dog.'
Written by Stargate_Geek on 2008-01-08 20:50:33
Mars says "Stop taking a picture and trow a snow ball for me!!! :D
Also, just so you know: The 21st of January is Squirrel Appreciation Day... we expect some updates on that day, or some 'love' *Pokes D!*
We are ready to do your bidding Oh Maste
Written by nanook660 on 2008-01-08 20:13:06
You have snow over there now. Ours have melted here in Toronto. And today was like Spring. But don't worry it has nothing to do with Global Warming...Perish that thought. *Snicker Snicker*
We Squirrels are ready to do your bidding. Oh Master, King Of The Squirrels.
Cute pic of Mars.
"Heir Of The Dog" Ohhhhh now I am curious. Spill it. Come on details. You know us Squirrels are an impatient bunch.
Don't keep us in suspense too long. And don't let Baz slack off by sleeping, eating, drolling, and being cute. Put him to work.
Hugs to you, Jane, Baz, and Mars
PS Have you seen Kate's play? She totally rocks.

Oops, didn't realise the title field had a character limit! That was supposed to read "Great, now I have the song "Chilly Down, from Labyrinth, stuuck in my head."
Which isn't a bad thing, exactly, cause I like that song ... Gotta love David Bowie! :D
