Inside play leads UTA past Texas State
Jermaine Griffin dominated inside with 26 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks as Texas-Arlington beat Texas State 99-81 Saturday.

Turnovers plague UTA women
Joyce Ekworomadu scored 17 of her game-high 20 points in the second half, and the Bobcat defense forced 26 turnovers as Texas State defeated UT-Arlington, 63-59, Saturday.

UTA beat UT-Pan American, 71-68
In Arlington, Rog'er Guignard scored 22 points as the Mavericks (15-6) outscored the Broncs 7-2 over the final 2:29. A layup and subsequent free throw by Anthony Vereen gave the Mavericks the lead for good with 1:57 left in the game.

UT-Arlington senior Tiffeny Riles led all scorers with 15 points, and freshman Shalyn Martin added 14 points to lead UTA over Stephen F. Austin, 64-56, on Saturday.
