NU Recruiting: Omaha Westside's Okafor reconfirms commitment

Omaha Westside running back Collins Okafor reconfirmed his commitment to Nebrask on Monday. Okafor committed to Nebraska more than a year ago but had wavered and took visits to Iowa and Stanford after Nebraska's coaching change. Okafor, a two-time All-Nebraska running back, took a visit to Nebraska over the weekend.

CU Men's Basketball: Millard says minutes precious

After starting the season's first 12 games and playing an average of 21 minutes, Creighton sophomore Chad Millard has played the past three as a reserve. "I played poorly in the first two Valley games," Millard said. Millard expects to come off the bench tonight in the Bluejays' game at Northern Iowa.

 


UNO Men's Basketball: Mavs leap Lopers

UNO senior Jerry Bennett had career highs of 18 points and 15 rebounds, and fellow senior Denny Johnston scored 19 points, to lead the University of Nebraska at Omaha to a 76-66 victory over the Lopers before 1,275 Monday night at Sapp Fieldhouse.

NU Men's Basketball: Key games on tap for Huskers

This might be the biggest week of the season for the Nebraska men's basketball team. Tuesday's game at Big 12 cellar-dweller Colorado (8-7, 0-1) and Saturday's home game against former cellar-dweller and now much-improved Baylor (13-2, 1-0) could determine how seriously the Huskers (11-3, 0-1) are considered for postseason play.
