Welcome!

Serving 21,000 youth in 25 counties in north central Kentucky and southern Indiana, the Lincoln Heritage Council, Boy Scouts of America, works to foster the character development, worldwide citizenship, and the moral, mental and physical fitness of young people. Through traditional programs, such as Cub Scout packs, Boy Scout troops and Venture crews, and innovative outreach programs that serve youth with disabilities and urban youth, the council prepares young people to make lifelong ethical choices by instilling the values found in the Scout Oath and Law.

The council calendar for 2007 - 2008 is here and can be downloaded online! This is a great tool for planing all of your scouting events. Get yours today.


Internet Advancement

Units can now submit advancement for youth members online. Use Internet advancement for the following:
* Add ranks, merit badges, and awards
* Update information on existing advancements
(except Eagle Scout rank)

TO USE INTERNET ADVANCEMENT:
1. Select a unit volunteer to be the Unit Advancement processor. This person must have Internet connection and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
2. Obtain a unit ID code from the Council. Your District Executive and Advancement Chair will have a complete list of ID codes for your District.
3. Gather information for advancement, including merit badge applications and advancement records with dates.
4. Click internet advancement on this page. Follow the instructions in Internet Adavncement to process advancements and print an advancement report.
5. Have the appropriate people sign the printed report and submit it to the council. Save a copy for your files.

The Lincoln Heritage Council is currently collecting e-mail addresses for volunteers and parents of current members.

To receive correspondence from the council office via e-mail, please submit your e-mail address along with your name and unit number to the council office, at info@lhcbsa.org. E-mail correspondence as a primary method of communication will begin in January, 2008.


Good Turn for America

In 2004 over 12,000 hours of service by 50 different units were reported to the Good turn for America website. Service is a cornerstone of Scouting, every Pack, Troop and Crew should plan at least one meaningful service project each year.
