The Gold Coast Blaze have finally found some form and broken a three game NBL losing streak with a convincing 105-87 win over the Townsville Crocodiles.
The win sees the Blaze move back into top four contention.
But the win did not come easy for the home side, with the Crocs matching the blaze almost basket for basket in a hard fought first half.
Thanks largely to a 15 point haul by guard Corey Williams, the Crocs went to the major break ahead 53-52.
In front of 4051 fans at the Gold Coast Exhibition and Convention Centre, the Blaze bounced back, with captain James Harvey stamping his authority and finishing with a match high 19 points.
Leading 78-73 going into the final term, the blaze were never truly troubled as the surged ahead to take only their second win of 2008.
The win sees the Blaze leapfrog Townsville into sixth place on the ladder.
