About the Vote

How do I vote?
There are 2 ways to vote for Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann each week: toll-free and online. To vote, simply watch Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann on ABC on Mondays at 8pm ET/PT (see local listings for times in your area) and dial the toll-free phone number for your team when you are prompted to vote. Or, log onto www.abc.com to cast your votes online.

Toll-free voting will remain open for 1 hour after the show subject to time zone and broadcast feed limitations, and online voting will be open until 9pm ET/6pm PT Tuesdays. You may vote up to 5 times per phone number or per email address. Any votes that exceed this limitation will not be counted.

Rules and procedures are subject to change at producer's sole discretion without notice.

Who can vote?
Anyone calling the toll-free numbers from within the continental US, Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico, during the voting window, can cast their vote(s) for Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann.

Internet voting will be available to anyone with an ABC.com Member Account who accesses the voting pages during the voting window. Remember you may vote up to 5 times per phone line or email address. Any votes that exceed this limitation will not be counted.

When can I vote?
Toll-free voting for Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann will be open for 1 hour after the show, subject to time zone and broadcast feed limitations. Outside of these times, the toll-free lines will play a busy signal and your call will not count as a vote.

Online voting will be open from just before the end of the show on the East Coast until 9pm ET/6pm PT each Tuesday.

How many times can I vote?
You can vote up to 5 times per phone line or email address. Any votes that exceed this limitation will NOT be counted.

How much does it cost to vote?
Telephone calls to the Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann voting lines are toll-free from landlines. If you use a wireless phone to call, airtime and applicable roaming and long distance charges may apply. Contact your wireless service provider if you want to know how much you will be charged.

Voting online is free except for your normal internet access charges.

Can I vote by using my cell phone?
Yes, you can vote using your cell phone during the voting window that corresponds to your cell phone's area code (i.e. a New York area code would restrict your cell phone votes to the East Coast voting window regardless of where you are physically located). Should you find that your cell phone is locked out during the local voting window due to an out-of-state area code, you may vote online or call from a land line.

Please note that airtime and applicable roaming charges will apply to toll-free numbers from wireless phones. Contact your wireless service provider if you want to know how much you will be charged.

I couldn't get through to the lines or all I get is a busy signal when I call - why?
Although the telephone network is designed to handle huge volumes of calls simultaneously, there may be times (particularly just after the show) when it will not be able to handle every single call due to the sheer volume. If you are calling during your voting window but can't get through to cast your vote, be patient and try again or go online to vote.

If you hear the busy signal, it may be that you are calling outside of the voting window. When your voting window closes, lines will switch from a 'thank you for voting' message to a busy signal.

If you are using a cell phone with an area code that is based in a different time zone from where you are calling, the system will accept or reject your vote based on the time zone of your cell phone's area code and not your physical location. So, for example, if you have a New York cell phone area code but are calling from Los Angeles, you would not be able to vote with your cell phone during the West Coast voting window. Try voting online or calling from a landline phone during the West Coast vote window.

What will I hear if I call the toll-free numbers?
Voting opens just before the end of the show. If you call before then, you will hear a busy signal and your vote will NOT count. Toll-free voting remains open for 1 hour after the show, subject to local time zone and broadcast feed limitations. During each vote window, the phone message will confirm the team for whom you have voted (Bruno or Carrie Ann). Remember, you may vote up to 5 times per phone line (or email address, if you are voting online). If you try to vote more often from a particular number, your votes will not be counted even if you continue to hear the 'thanks for voting' message. After the voting window, no more votes will be accepted and lines will play out a busy signal.

How do I know my vote has been counted?
If you are calling the toll-free numbers to cast your vote, your vote will count the first 5 times you call and hear the 'thanks for voting' message - any calls after that from the same phone line will not count even if you hear the 'thanks for voting' message. If you are voting online, only the first 5 votes associated with your ABC.com member log-in will be counted.

How do I find out the results?
The results of the vote will be revealed during the following weeks' episode. Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann airs on ABC Mondays at 8pm ET/PT. Check your local listings for show times in your area.

Can I vote via the toll-free numbers using a payphone?
No, votes from payphones will be blocked. Please vote online at www.abc.com, use a standard land line telephone, or a cell phone to cast your vote. Airtime and applicable roaming charges may apply when using your cell phone.
