St. Xavier Varsity Head Coach Pat Collura

Mr. Patrick P. Collura is St. X’s head varsity lacrosse coach. Collura has been a member of the St. X lacrosse coaching staff since 2002, serving as assistant junior varsity coach in 2002 and as assistant varsity coach in 2003 and 2004.

In addition to his work at St. Xavier, Collura has served in a variety of other coaching positions, including the Blue Jays Youth and middle school teams (1995 – 2001) and All-Star teams:    Cincinnati-Indiana All-Stars (2003, 2004), USL Ohio Southern Chapter Underclassman All-Stars (2003, 2004), GCLA Red Team All-Stars (2004), Ohio North/South Senior All-Stars (2004). He has been a certified lacrosse official since 1976. He was named Man of the Year by the High School Lacrosse Association in 2000.

Collura played college lacrosse at Bowling Green State University (1972-1976) where he was a three-time All-Midwest goalie on teams that were three-time Midwest Conference Champions.

The St. Xavier lacrosse team won the Division II state championship in 2000 and was voted number one team in the city the following year after moving up to Division I. Last year’s team compiled a 10 – 7 record.

Collura and his wife, Cynthia, are Kenwood residents. The Colluras have had two sons at St. Xavier (J. Paul ’05 and Dan ’05).
