Winter Update #2

Here's a few items of interest, as winter moves in and the holidays approach...

The Brian MacKenzie Infoshop's annual holiday sale - 20% OFF (almost) everything - is coming up soon: December 14, 15, and 16. Mark your calendars so you don't miss it. It's the perfect time to stock up on gifts for the holidays, or just to find a new book or two for yourself. The sale is our way of saying thank you for another year of support and patronage, and it also helps the Infoshop raise funds that help during less busy months.

We've been busy stocking our shelves with new books and restocking them with old favorites. A sampling of what's arrived in the past week or two. Don't miss these key new titles, plus many more:

NEW DERRICK JENSEN! - As the World Burns, a GRAPHIC NOVEL from Jensen and comic artist Stephanie McMillan

Chainbreaker Bike Book: A Rough Guide to Bicycle Maitenence (from Microcosm) Do-It-Yourself Screenprinting: A Graphic Guide

We've also restocked many favorite Microcosm titles (Making Stuff&Doing Things, Please Don't Feed the Bears Cookbook, Doris Book, etc.) and have a huge order of new titles and restocks on the way from AK Press, including many vegan cookbooks and a thorough restock of our Anarchy section. We've also greatly expanded our poetry
section in recent months, with lots of innovative and/or political poetries.

Slingshot Organizers + 2008 Calendars
Just a reminder that the always popular Slingshot organizers are instock, in both small and large sizes, and numerous colors. We also have a selection of 2008 Wall calendars as well: Nikki McClure, Colors from Palestine, and Ceartian Days: Freedom for Political Prisoners.

The Infoshop will have a table at the Black Cat's annual ROCK N SHOP on December 9th (not December 7th, as we had posted earlier). We'll have a selection of books and music, as well as lots of Slingshot Organizers. Visit for more info.

Winter Update from the Brian MacKenzie Infoshop

Dear friends,

With winter almost upon us, we thought we'd touch base with a few updates and happenings...

-One, the 2008 Edition of the ever popular Slingshot Organizers are in stock, with many many wonderful colors available. Small ones cost $6, and the larger, spiral-bound ones cost $10.

We also have several 2008 wall-calendars in stock now: Certain Days Freedom for Political Prisoners, Colors from Palestine, and the always popular Nikki McClure artwork calendar.

-Second, our hours...
As you may know, we've altered them recently, as to be able to better keep to our posted times. You can currently find us open Wednesday thru Saturday, from 12-9pm, and Sundays from 12-7. We regret having to close on Mondays and Tuesdays, but doing so allows us to keep more regular hours.

-Lastly, books!
New books have been arriving over the past few weeks (including a bulked-up poetry section!), with many more on their way, including new titles from AK, Microcosm, and more! We'll definitely have a whole slew of new arrivals and restocks in over the next couple of weeks, so stop on by and check things out.

And, of course, keep your eyes open for news of our annual holiday sale, which will be happening again sometime this December!

Thanks again for all your support.
