Beech claimed off waivers by Capitals

Kris Beech has been claimed off waivers by the Washington Capitals.

Beech was placed on waivers by the Canucks on Tuesday, less than two weeks after Vancouver picked him up off waivers from the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Beech only played in four games for the Canucks, notching a goal and an assist.

The 26-year-old was originally drafted by the Capitals in the 1st round - 7th overall - of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.
