Titles and Special Effects
DuArt is one of the few post-production facilities in the world that has both digital imaging and optical printing. The digital process is loss-less and can include Cineon Film Scanning and Arrilaser Film Recording up to 4K resolution. We create our titles and effects on SGI, Macintosh and NT platforms with a wide range of software including Cineon Storm, Softimage and Adobe After Effects. Come in and see our reel.

Services

Cineon Film Scanning
For film completion, we can start the creative process by scanning 35mm, S16mm, 16mm and Vistavision on our Cineon Genesis Plus Film Scanner. The Cineon offers the highest quality scanning. The Cineonís DXR color technology captures the full dynamic range of the image allowing maximum control over color grading and manipulation. The CCD sensor technology delivers sharp, clean images with zero defects. A pin-registered film transport system maintains superior image steadiness. A positive-pressure filtered-air system eliminates dust. Custom dichroic filters are spectrally tuned to the color dyes in Eastman Color Films to improve color separation, rendition and signal-to-noise ratio. Click here for our scanning specs.

Arrilaser & Solitaire Film Recording
Once your titles and special effects are completed, our Arrilaser Film Recorder can shoot them to 35mm up to 4K resolution.

Tape to Computer Files to Tape
If you are completing on tape, we can capture your video master material via an Accom digital disk recorder. After completing the creative work, we can transfer back to a wide range of video tape formats, or go straight into our Final Cut or Avid Symphony Nitris/ DS for an On-line Edit.
