Fan Zone

The United Friendship Club of Alaska , or UFCA, was established on November 17, 1989 (that’s right, the club is on its 18th year now) during the PBA Reinforced Conference. The Alaska team fan base was originally the fan clubs of the indiviual players such as the Mr. Excitement of Bong Alvarez, Freinds of Eugene Quilban, The Fantastic Peers of Alex Araneta and the Ruel Gomez Fans Club until these clubs joined together and formed one umbrella organization that came to be the UFCA.

The first UFCA Induction of Officers was held at Shakey’s Greenbelt with no less than Alaska Milk Corporation President and team owner Mr. Wilfred Steven Uytengsu as the Inducting Officer. Since then, the annual Alaska Fan’s Day is celebrated during the 3rd conference of the PBA season . The Fan’s Day is a way of thanking the loyal fans who follow our games and support the Alaska team year in, year out.

From the original thirty members of UFCA, the Alaska Aces fans have grown in large numbers throughout the country.
