Kerio MailServer delivers business email to Apple iPhone
With Kerio MailServer 6.4.1, Apple iPhone is tuned for work and not just for play.
SANTA CLARA, Calif., - Kerio Technologies Inc., a developer of cross-platform email and collaboration solutions for small to medium sized organizations, announced today a new release of Kerio MailServer that turns Apple's new iPhone into a business-friendly messaging device. The new version of Kerio MailServer enables both Windows and Mac users to natively synchronize email, calendar and contacts with their Apple iPhone.
"Mobile workers can now get their work email and PIM data from their company's Kerio MailServer onto their iPhone for quick reference wherever they are," says Martin Viktora, CTO of Kerio Technologies. "They can synchronize collaboration data between the server and their iPhone using both Windows and Mac desktop clients, which is something no other groupware packages currently offer."
Email is accessed over the air through AT&T's EDGE network or via WiFi. Calendar and contacts are synchronized using iTunes wired desktop sync with Microsoft Outlook on Windows, and Apple Address Book and iCal on Mac OS X. "It's great that my clients using Kerio MailServer can enjoy an enterprise-quality groupware solution for the iPhone that is cost effective and easy to use," says Steve Sande, President of Raven Solutions, an IT consulting firm in Denver, Colorado.
Kerio MailServer also provides wireless email and PIM synchronization support for Windows Mobile, Palm, Symbian, and BlackBerry using a variety of technologies.
