Dr. Ramsey is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association, the Institute of Functional Medicine, and the International Hormone Society. Dr. Ramsey practiced as an Associate Clinical Professor/Preceptor at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine for six years. She is now focusing on educating both the health consumer and the health care professional about the imperativeness of bridging the gap between naturopathic and conventional medical practices. Dr. Ramsey’s inspired pioneering efforts are essential to begin a global shift towards wellness, as the health of America today is rapidly declining towards greater numbers of chronic disease sufferers. In 2006, Dr. Ramsey was invited to be the Medical Director for Bella Vita Journeys, a company that provides land and sea, wellness based retreats.

Dr. Ramsey's specialty is in functional medicine, which means exploring the cause or path to disease (lack of ease). She realizes that when the body is at ease nutritionally, emotionally, spiritually and structurally, there is less chance for the disease process to manifest. The therapies Dr. Ramsey uses at her clinic are designed to enhance cellular, glandular, and bodily functions. As cells are up-regulated, pathology is both prevented and reversed. In essence, Dr. Ramsey focuses her medical studies and clinical attention on how the endpoint or pathology was created.

The main aspects of functional medicine that are core to Dr. Ramsey’s competencies are nutritional and lifestyle counseling, nutritional supplementation, stress management, balanced exercise, biologically identical hormone replacement therapy and aging gracefully. As an expert in the art of detoxification and specialty testing for food allergies, nutritional profiles, hormone panels, amino acids, and oxidative stress testing, she facilitates the healing process by helping your body become balanced. At the same time, she finds it important to addresses the emotional and psychological aspects of wellness with each patient.

As the author of Healing 101: A Guide to Creating the Foundation for Complete Wellness, Dr. Ramsey eloquently explores the anti-aging process in the human body. Dr. Ramsey enlightens, empowers, and engages the reader to become actively involved in living at a higher, happier level of well-being. Healing 101 encompasses Dr. Ramsey’s commitment and passion to educate and inform people everywhere about the advantages of combining natural and conventional medical practices to ensure the best outcome to obtaining optimal health in all areas of our lives.
