Kraits

Kraits are old world Elapids that live true Asia . Kraits are mainly snake eaters but several species are known to eat lizards to. Some species are kept in captivity and are feeding on rodents, some species are even bred in captivity on a regular base. Kraits are often docile in daytime but can be aggressive at night. Kraits have a potent venom and many people that are been bitten by kraits describe a bite as the worse pain they ever felt before.

This unidentified krait (Bungarus sp.) is been send to me. Its found on the Indonesian site of the Island Borneo named Kalimantan. The snake is 192 cm in lenght.
