The Building Blocks of Scouting

From the Scoutmaster:
Welcome to the online presence of Boy Scout Troop 149, Falcon, Colorado. We're glad you stopped by. Our chartered organization is Grace Community Church in Falcon. Troop 149 currently has 49 scouts in eight patrols and meets at 7:00pm at Falcon Middle School on each Tuesday of the month. If you are interested in joining our Troop we would encourage you to visit one of our meetings and check us out.

This website will give details about who we are and what we do. If you would like to obtain more information about Troop 149 please contact us and we will be glad to respond to your inquiry.

The guiding ideals of Troop 149 are based on the Scout Law, Scout Oath and Scout Motto. All Scouts and Adult Leaders (Scouters) are guided by these ideals in all troop functions. These are among the first things a new scout learns in order to earn the Scout Badge. If you have questions, or would like to arrange a visit, please email the scoutmaster or stop on by during our regular meeting times (you might check our Calendar to make sure we'll be meeting that week).

January 29, 2008 - Court of Honor
TIMELINE:
5:30 PM - Setup for those scouts assigned (2 patrols).
6:00 PM - The Court of Honor and a Pot Luck dinner during the COH. Food assignments, patrol assignments and paper product assignments have been handed out to the Scouts already.
8:30 PM - Cleanup for the assigned patrols (2 patrols).
If your Scout has clean-up duty, please do not plan to leave prior to his duties being completed. Clean-up will be a big job so it will be imperative that you do not leave it’s done.

Scouting is based on life skills education, leadership development, citizenship, and values training. Its unique methods of program presentation are designed to help build youth with strong character who are physically fit and prepared to be good citizens.
