Scout Moor wind farm consists of 26 turbines on the moors between Rawstenstall and Rochdale. The wind farm generates 65MW of electricity, which is enough energy to power the average needs of around 40,000 homes and in each year it prevents the release of 160,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
