Exploration Place
Exploration place, a state-of-the-art hands-on science center, children's museum, and park is currently under development. Located on a 20-acre site at McLean Boulevard and Second Street on the west bank of the Arkansas river, the Center's striking, landmark building will be surrounded by discovery trails, picnic areas and a community-built science playground.
The 95,000-sq-ft. structure was designed by internationally acclaimed architect Moshe Safdie. Ground-breaking occurred in June, 1997 with completion scheduled for the year 2000.
