Gallery: George Michael: The Road to Wembley

When George Michael performed his 25 Live tour in June of this year, he re-opened the refurbished Wembley Stadium, to more than 90,000 fans.

This Saturday MAX Channel premieres The Road to Wembley a documentary leading up to the occasion, plus three other George Michael specials.

Here is a selection of photos from the event, of which four numbers are featured in the special: "Outside", "Freedom 90", "Spinning the Wheel" and Elton John's "Idol."

George Michael: The Road to Wembley screens 1:30pm Saturday October 6 on MAX along with Style Icons (12pm), In and Out (2:30pm) and I'm You'r Man (3:30pm).

TiVo for $500?

The Seven Network may have a struggle on its hand in launching TiVo in Australia, if as reported today its pricing is between $500 - $600.

Especially if it means viewers can't skip ads....

Seven has invested heavily in TiVo and Engin, with plans to offer packages covering TiVo and wireless broadband internet. It hopes to launch the product in time for 2008 Beijing Olympics, and is in "advanced negotiations" with other broadcasters to have them join the platform.

On top of the set-up fees it is likely there will be a monthly subscription fee.

Despite having a 30 - 40% market share in the US, TiVo has been plagued by financial difficulties, and has withdrawn altogether from the UK market.

Essentially, TiVo will compete with the IQ DVR offered by Foxtel despite the suppliers saying the two are different products. Read more...

Slow boat to Survivor China

In response to those who have been asking, Survivor: China appears unlikely to be airing anytime soon on the Nine Network.

A spokesperson for the network said it would most likely air sometime over summer.

Season 15 is two episodes old in the US, but ratings for the reality king have slipped both in Australia and the US.

Contestants this season include a Christian Radio Talk Show Host, a Female WWE Wrestler, a Chicken Farmer, a Grave Digger, a Gay Mormon Flight Attendant, and a Professional Poker Player.
