DHAKA, 6 February 2008 (PlusNews) - Mohana Rosario is like many people living with HIV in the world today. The 30-year-old mother of four from Manikganj District, 75km from the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka, faces an uphill battle caring for herself and her family.

INDONESIA: HIV spreads among IDUs despite campaigns
JAKARTA, 5 February 2008 (PlusNews) - Tanjung Priok District, where the port is located in Jakarta, capital of Indonesia, is said to have three suns above it instead of one because of its extreme heat in an already hot city. Aside from the climate, the district is also known for its high levels of crime, especially drug dealing.

Events
The module covers themes such as HIV/AIDS services, evaluation tools to analyse existing capacity and systemic constraints. The course is aimed at policy makers, managers and providers involved in developing and managing HIV/AIDS programmes on a day-to-day level.

The goal of the regional workshop is to build the leadership, advocacy and technical expertise of women—particularly those HIV positive —working on the frontlines in the fight against AIDS.

Involving high-level officials from Nigeria’s National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA), the conference discusses HIV/AIDS and sexuality, gender-based violence, as well as mobility and sexuality.
