Davidwoodcasting_l How much neurosis can one movie channel? We're about find out. Larry David, the mind behind Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm, is set to be the lead in Woody Allen's next, as-yet-untitled feature, which is scheduled to shoot in New York City in the spring. Plot details are being kept under wraps, but David will act alongside Evan Rachel Wood (Across the Universe). The movie marks Allen's return home after he made three films in London and one, the upcoming Vicky Cristina Barcelona, in Spain.

I'm shocked that I didn't think of Larry David as the most natural and compatible stand-in for Woody Allen in one of his movies...should be fun.

I think that sounds pretty, pretty, pretty good.

Loved Evan Rachel Wood in 13 and Running with Scissors. Amazing actress.

This has the makings of something great. Larry David is one of the few people on earth that can hold their own as a comedy writer next to Woody. I think this is exciting news. Also Rachel Wood is a hot young actress, who I will go out on a limb and say is a better actress than Woodys last obsession Scarlett Johansson. Don't get me wrong though I like Scarlett almost as much as Woody did. haha

Woody and Larry is a match made in heaven.

This movie better show LD saying "These pretzels are making me thirsty" at some point or I am going to cry like a little girl.

I don't care for Woody Allen but I am a big fan of Larry David. This may prove to be an interesting film.
As for Wood? All I can say is that Marilyn Manson (who I am happening to see in concert tonight) is one lucky bastard.

I just hope these 2 aren't going to be a romantic couple...

All I can say is ... As long as SHE is not HIS love interest!

Rose Tyler Thu, Feb 7, 2008 at 08:21 PM EST

It's a Woody Allen movie correct? So of course she'll be his love interest.

Exciting news, but LD's been in WA's films before: Radio Days and New York Stories

Why does Woody Allen insist on pairing really old guys with really young girls? Ick.
