Does the performance of the reformulated Crisco Shortening differ from the traditional Crisco Shortening?
We tested a wide variety of classic Crisco recipes—fried chicken, french fries, pie crust, chocolate chip and sugar cookies, scratch white cake and frosting—and they all turned out with the same delicious results as our original shortening.

Extensive consumer testing also demonstrated that our reformulated Crisco Shortening delivers the same high-performance requirements you have always enjoyed with Crisco Shortening products.

Why did you change the formulation of Crisco Shortening?
We constantly review the variety of products we offer and explore opportunities to meet the diverse needs and preferences of our consumers while still maintaining the superior taste and high performance requirements you have come to expect from Crisco. The reformulation of Crisco Shortening, using many of the same ingredients as the previous formula, to be zero grams trans fat per serving is a direct result of these efforts.

What is trans fat?
Trans fat is simply a type of saturated fat that occurs naturally in some foods and also when vegetable oils are partially hydrogenated.

I can't find the Crisco green can anywhere, where can I locate it in my area?
Our entire line of Crisco Shortening products have been reformulated to contain zero grams trans fat per serving while still delivering the same great quality and performance you have always enjoyed with Crisco products. As a result, we have discontinued our Crisco Zero Grams Trans Fat Per Serving product, also known as the green can.
