"I used to watch 2 hours of TV a day. Now I take that 2 hours and replace it with 2 or 3 hours of exercise."
--Mark Yesitis, Season 2
Burn calories with our circuit training program that you can do at home or at the gym. Our demonstrations will show you how to exercise safely and effectively.
Remember, one pound of body fat equals 3,500 calories. By burning 250 to 500 calories a day through exercise, you could lose up to a whole pound a week (7 x 500 = 3,500), as long as you push yourself actively and don't go overboard on fattening foods.
To get you moving and losing, The Biggest Loser exercise plan will nuke calories and fat by keeping your metabolism and motivation charged.
Remember This
One thing that's important to understand about this exercise plan is that it does not require the four to six (or more) rigorous hours of exercising that The Biggest Loser cast members went through every day.
Because the show was a competition to see who could lose the most weight, the goal was to burn up as many calories – and as much fat – as possible in a day. That way, each contestant could experience dramatic weight losses from week to week.
In the real, everyday world, people require a more moderate program, but one with the same end point in mind: burn off the pounds.
