Lithodes maja (Linnaeus, 1758)

 

Synonyms.- Lithodes arctica Latreille, 1806

 

Size.- Carapace length about 150 mm.

 

Distribution.- Cold parts of Western Atlantic, Eastern Atlantic: southeastern Greenland, Iceland, Spitsbergen, Faeroe Islands, Scandinavia, Northern half of the British Isles.

 

Ecology.- On soft bottoms between 4 and 790 m.
