Family Game Night

We've got the Xbox All-Nighters, Frag Doll Fridays, and GamerchiX Ladies Nights … now it's time to get the whole family in on the fun with Family Game Night! It happens every Tuesday on your Xbox 360™.

Fun for the whole family.

Fun for the whole family.

This is the perfect opportunity to spend some quality time with your kids on the couch playing some of the great family games available for Xbox 360. If you're flying solo, take the opportunity to get your game on with far flung relatives: Play UNO® with Grandma in Albuquerque, trade piñatas with Uncle Harry in Tokyo, or reconnect with your British cousins for a rousing round of racing in Project Gotham Racing® 3!

We'll suggest the featured game for the week, but by all means play your family's favorites.

If you participate in Family Game Night, we want to hear about it. Send us an email at xlmail@microsoft.com, subject: Family Game Night. Tell us what you played, who you played with, and how much fun you had. Feel free to send pictures, and give us your suggestions for how to make Family Game Nights even more fun. Be sure to include your gamertag and home town.

Community Feedback
Here's what some Xbox Community members are saying about Family Game Night:

"Our little ones age 4 and 1, are probably the littlest gamers on the Xbox live community. Family game night has been great around here! They both LOVE guitar hero and avatar."

"My husband and I along with our kids age 9 and 6, aka our "baby gamers", always play games together at least once a week. We hit the game stores together and pick a game that we can all agree on, which takes quite a while as you can imagine, and head home doing thumb exercises to prepare for the competition. We now have a common bond in games, and have a wonderful time together in our hobby."

"This family game night was Pac-Man. I had invited my uncle my aunt my cousin and I made sure that my mom and dad were playing too. And since it’s my brother’s birthday (turned 11) I gave him the honor to play first. You know, we all were not the best Pac-Man gamers but we all had fun.  My brother’s highest score was 2250 and then we all congratulated him and then had cake!"

"On Saturday night I stayed up all night with my mom and dad on Monster energy drinks owning some n00bs online. I swear we played from 6:00pm to 5:00am playing Rainbow 6 Vegas, PGR3, Double Agent, and Gears Of War. I was really surprised because my mom got me an achievement on Double Agent. And my mom is a much better gamer than my dad my dad sucks at playing games. He can't even hold his car in the middle of the street in PGR 3. But all in all Saturday night was fun and I learned something.... And that is Parents can get really violent when they play a game."

"Just wanted to say that Viva Piñata is awesome on Tuesdays! I am not as young as some of kids that I played with but the are pretty good. I love playing Viva Piñata, and now that I can play on Tuesdays with other gardeners it makes it even more fun. Just want to say thank you for starting such a great night."

"My family night consists of the following:

Order in pizzas. My wife and 3 kids play Guitar hero together. My kids 11,9, and 6 all have their own names and my wife as well. We do multiplayer and just spend time as a family.

I have been a faithful xboxer since its inception and don’t even own another console."

"My family just recently got our 360, and I was excited to tell them about family game night. We spent last night downloading and playing some of the demo games from the family genre, as we have not yet purchased very many games. We demoed Pixar's Cars racing game and Viva Piñata. Both are games that we plan on purchasing. Our kids are 8, 3 and 2 months old. The two older ones love Viva, Cars, as well as Hexic. The baby just loves the music and pretty colors that she experiences while we play.
