Tumbleweed Partners with Child Health Corporation of America to Deliver Comprehensive Secure Messaging Solutions to Children's Hospitals

Offers Tumbleweed’s Email Firewall, Secure Email and Secure File Delivery Solutions to Children’s Hospitals Throughout the U.S.

Redwood City, CA – February 3, 2004 – Tumbleweed® Communications Corp. (NASDAQ:TMWD), a leading provider of mission-critical communication solutions for enterprises, financial services, healthcare and government, announced today a strategic technology agreement with Child Health Corporation of America (CHCA) to provide secure messaging solutions to 41 CHCA children's hospitals that include many of the nation's largest and best-known not-for-profit children's hospital and health care systems in North America.

Under the agreement, Tumbleweed will offer its industry-leading email firewall, anti-spam, email encryption and secure file delivery software products to CHCA Owner Hospitals to secure their Internet communications. The Company will also provide professional services and training. These products are currently used by six CHCA Owner Hospitals, including Children’s Hospital in Boston, The Children’s Hospital in Denver, Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, Children's Hospital of Orange County, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital in Palo Alto, and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
