Now there's a name for it

Motorists have cursed the missing interchange at Loop 410 and U.S 281 for decades — now there's an official, kinder nickname.

From henceforth, the stack of ramps now under construction shall be called the San Antonio Web, as in spider web, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

The name was plucked from more than 500 entries in a contest to name the interchange, and was submitted quite a few times. But two students from Blattman Elementary School were the first, so they won.

The students don't know that they've won yet (so don't say anything). They're in for a surprise tomorrow, when officials will gather the student body to break the news.
