Last Night's Lost: An Asterisk Quiz Solved!

Evangeline Lilly in Lost by Mario Perez/ABC
"Jaters will be aflutter when Kate shows romantic interest in future Jack, but it turns out there's another special person in her life already — someone *** *** ** *** *****, *** ****'* **** a ******."

Remember that little asterisk quiz from back in January? Well, now that Lost's big Aaron bombshell has been dropped, I can finally fill in the blanks for you.

"Someone who was on the plane, but didn't have a ticket."

Congratulations to the hundreds of you who guessed correctly! You win... oh, I dunno, nine more episodes of Lost this season? And if they're half as good as tonight's, that's quite a prize.

Seriously, "Eggtown" was, IMHO, the best episode so far this season — for reasons I'll get into in tomorrow's podcast. In the meantime, tell me you agree. It was the best episode of the season, right?

It was definetly the best episode of the season!!!

The Jate was amazing! I want to know what happens to Claire that lands Kate with Aaron and why can't Jack face him? And I hope Sawyer 'officially' dumps Kate because as much as I love her, Shes using him and he deserves better.

The best episode of the best season of the best series on television today. We are being rewarded week after week for investing our hearts and souls into these incredible characters.

Spoiler: He probably can't face Aaron, because he finally found out that Claire is his sister.

I'm pretty sure that the previous reply is correct. I'm sure before they get off the island, Jack and Claire will find out about their ties.
I loved this episode soooo much. I fear that Claire will die by the end of the series and since the baby makes five (correct?) who's the last?
I really wanted Sun and Jin to both make it off the island.

I didn't like it as much as the first or second episode, but I did like the, "OMG Kate had Jack's baby!--Psych!" moment. That was pretty sweet. I'm glad I'd forgotten the Aaron spoiler.

My vote for best-ep-of-the-season goes to last week's, 'The Economist.'

I'm not convinced that Aaron counts as one of the Oceanic Six. Anyways it was a really good episode but not better than this season's first episode.

So Jack doesn't want to see the baby because he doesn't want to get attached?? Or did I miss something?

Bummer: This was the first episode my sister has ever tried to watch and she guessed the twist the first time she saw Aaron after Kate confessed she had a child.

TOTALLY RUINED THE ENDING FOR ME!!

Best episode? What the hell were you watching?

While good (well, very good, but only good by Lost standards), and with a couple of interesting twists and some awesome Locke action, it was nowhere near as good as "Confirmed Dead" (the season's best episode by far) and "The Economist" (second best).

Hell, I'd barely put it above the premiere.

Great episode! Unfortunately, my sweet wife guessed the baby's identity shortly after Kate looked at Aaron and said, "Ewww." LOL Still, the episode was flabulous!

My guess on the soon to be dead Oceanic survivor: Sun or Kim.

I actually thought it was the weakest episode this season. That doesn't mean it was bad. It just wasn't as good as the first three. I think my opinion has to with the fact that I don't really care about Kate's relationship with either Jack or Sawyer.

Plus, I must have been really tired yesterday. Because I heard Kate call the baby "Sawyer" not Aaron. So as soon as I found out it was Aaron the episode got a little better for me.

Other than that I thought the only great part in the present was when Locke put the grenade in Miles' mouth. That was pretty awesome.

But like I said, if this is the worst that Lost has to offer than it is pretty good shape.

Next week is Desmond's episode. Definitly looking forward to some more time travel mythology.

Oh yeah. Too bad I won't be listening to the podcast this week or anytime soon for that matter. I finally decided that it hasn't been the same since Dan and Angel left. It used to be funny. But now Mitovitch treats the podcast like a business meeting.

News, Friday-Sunday shows, and then movies. No ARGUMENTATIVE emails are ever read. He only reads questions for Maitland. The podcast is supposed to be an interaction between fans and journalists. Plus, Matt basically agrees with you (Ausiello) on everything (except for Prison Break).

Sorry. Just had to write that somewhere.

Its too obvious that Claire dies. And too easy. And we all know Lost isn't obvious or easy.

One of the key moments from season 1 is when Claire was told she had to be the one to raise her baby.

That is what this is about. Shes still on the island. Along with all of Lockes group.

Kate having Claire's baby threw me through a loop!! I was sure it was Sawyer's baby, and that was why Jack could not face him. When she said Aaron, I was blown away. I cannot wait to see what happens next. After learning last week Sayid will be working for Ben I cannot wait to see how this pans out.
