Sulumani Chimbetu's mistress, Nancy Musanhi who is popularly known as Masvingo on the showbiz scene on Friday attacked a Herald reporter at an Alick Macheso show in the capital over a story that appeared in the government mouthpiece exposing her.

The reporter, Trust Khosa recently wrote a story that chronicled how Sulumani has inherited the hooker from his late father, Simon. The story alleged that Masvingo had once been Simon's mistress before bedding many other musicians and finally settling for the young Sulumani who is head over heels in love.

Enraged with the exposing story, the lady is said to have been on the hunt for Khosa until they met at Pamuzinda Highway X-scape where Macheso was performing.

Eyewitnesses say she charged at the reporter and grabbed him by the shirt shouting obscene words and threatening to hit him with any empty beer bottle.

The reporter was rescued by a local music promoter who is said to have slapped the lady and told her to calm down.

Masvingo then opted to enlist the services of thugs but made a blunder when she took bouncers belonging to James Chiyangwa who is popularly known as Jimalo.

Jimalo and Khosa are in good books and when the latter realized that his bouncers had been hired to attack the latter he fumed and immediately took them out of the show leaving the lady stranded.

She only managed to shout a few verbal threats to Khosa before getting out of the show.

No one was injured at the chaos. Khosa confirmed that he had been attacked.

“I was grabbed from behind and was surprised to see Masvingo holding me. She told me that she wanted to kill me and pulled me until she was stopped by a promoter. She was fuming and said a lot of things telling me to choose between life and death. She did not harm me but she threatened to take further action.”

"She said the story I wrote was false and defamatory," said Khosa.

The reporter insisted that the story was true adding that he has, gathered more information and could do a follow-up story soon.

Sulumani was performing at Glen Norah Hall at another end of the capital when the incident took place.

He has not responded to the story since it was written leaving a high probability that it could be true.

Although The Zimbabwe Gazette could not confirm the alleged relationship with Simon, we have reliable information that the hooker also went out with Macheso, Tongai Moyo and Cephas Mashakada.

Macheso is the one who nicknamed her Masvingo after realizing that she had trailed him all the way from the capital to a town with the same name where he was holding a show. We have established that the two fell in love just after the Masvingo meeting but they have since parted ways.

The lady is said to have ignited the Macheso-Moyo rivalry after she crossed the floor.

This publication can also confirm that Sulumani is seriously in love with the groupie whore and is planning to wed her in spite of numerous warnings from various quarters.

A dog does not know it's mother

Once hooked to your dad she becomes your mother. Salimon Chimbutu is deaf in his cultural values. A dog's son will always be a dog. All those musicians involved here arehave weak morals. I curse them if they have families to look after. Why expose yourself to that kind of psible danger.
Once a dog Always a dog. Let the newsman do his work
AMEN
