MNPP - Minimum Nationwide Person Profile
The Minimum Nation-wide Person Profile project (a component of the National Police Reference System, NPRS) delivers an enhanced capacity for rapid nation-wide access to operational police information regarding persons of interest. Following a successful pilot, this functionality is presently being 'rolled-out' to all police services.
It should be noted that an individual does not have to have a criminal record to appear on the National Police Reference System (for example, firearms licences and missing persons).
CrimTrac is examining the feasibility requirements for linking vehicle, firearm and missing persons information through the National Police Reference System. Any additional data or information cannot be added until the MNPP functionality has been rolled out to jurisdictions.
