24-7 Spyz (pronounced "twenty-four-seven spies") are an extremely influential band from the ghettos of the South Bronx in New York City. They were unfairly compared to bands like Living Colour simply because of the color of their skin. The band is best known for mixing soul , funk, and R&B; with heavy metal and punk music (one critic compared their sound to "Boyz 2 Men singing lead vocals for Black Sabbath).
