A Coup for Film Forum

Non-profit Film Forum almost always plays movies exclusively in Manhattan, but will make a exception for Todd Haymes' "I'm Not There,'' allowing the Weinsteins to book it at an uptown theater while Film Forum is playing it for an open-ended run on two screens beginning Nov. 21. "We think the movie is really exciting and about as far from a biopic as you can get, so we're willing to be flexible,'' Film Forum's Karen Cooper told me. "It will be perfect for a downtown audience and we expect it to play for a really long time.'' She said this past weekend was one of Film Forum's best at the box office in years, with the Bush-bashing doc "No End in Sight'' doing $20,424, "Live-in Maid'' pulling in $13,168 and a $12,670 take for "Sweet Smell of Success,'' the opening entry in a five-week series on "NYC Noir.'' "I'm Not There'' centers on Bob Dylan, played at various stages of his life by Cate Blanchett (pictured), Richard Gere, Christian Bale, Heath Ledger and others.
