OCD Archives: The Family Stone

Oliver Stone has actually lined up financing for his biopic of G.W. Bush and will begin shooting "Bush'' in April, Variety reports. The trade previously reported that Josh Brolin would play the president in the run-up to the war in Iraq, but no word yet on who will be cast as his father. My money's on James Brolin, who I believe would achieve two firsts. Unless Peter Fonda is working on something I'm not aware of, the Brolins would become the first father and son to both play American presidents, and the senior Brolin, I think, would become the first actor to play two consecutive American presidents, having already portrayed Ronald Reagan in a notorious made-for-TV movie (32 years ago, James was also Clark Gable in the best forgotten "Gable in Lombard''). Does anybody know differently?
