Exclusive: Lost Finds Post-Grey's Berth!

Grey's Anatomy by Frank Ockenfels/ABC; Lost by Art Streiber/Bob D'Amico/ABC
The writers' strike may end up being the best thing that ever happened to Lost.

ABC is said to be finalizing a post-strike spring schedule that not only hands Lost its best available time slot, but promises to further strengthen the network's stronghold on Thursday night.

According to multiple sources, ABC plans on airing this season's final five* Lost episodes on Thursdays at 10 pm/ET beginning in late April, where it will follow all-new episodes of Grey's freakin' Anatomy! Throw in fresh installments of Ugly Betty at 8 pm and you've got yourself the most formidable one-two-three punch since the early days of CBS' Survivor/CSI/Without a Trace smashup. Creatively speaking, I'd go so far as to say this rivals NBC's storied Must-See-TV juggernaut back in the '90s.

And I haven't even gotten to the best part.

The best part is that I'm hearing that ABC is strongly considering keeping this dream lineup intact this fall... and beyond.

I don't know about you, but this almost makes up for ABC's mishandling of [insert any number of show titles here].

* This just in: I'm now hearing that Lost's final arc may consist of six episodes, not five. No, Team Darlton isn't making an extra episode this season. Rather, the final installment of the current run (aka Episode 8) will likely be held to kick off the final batch of five. According to my spies, Episode 7 makes for a better, more logical, break. Discuss....

too much TV on Thursdays already, Wednesday has absolutely nothing, i hope only temporary, plus Grey's always run 2- 5 minutes over meaning only 55 minutes of LostX-(, I want all episodes now, no waiting

It's about time that ABC realizes that the post-Grey's timeslot should not be the quagmire of dung. With Thursday nights being a prime night for new movie advertising, I bet every upcoming action-adventure movie will eat up Lost's ad space like Smokey, our friendly jungle monster. Glad that Lost is FINALLY getting a slot it deserves! Only took 4 seasons.

Oh well, looks like I'm not watching Lost at night anymore. I'll either have to watch on the internet on Friday or record it. 10pm is way to late for me.

Well I will do my best to stay up and watch @ 10 (surprisingly enough there is a big difference for me when a show comes on @ 9 and when it comes on @ 10), but I have a feeling I'll be falling asleep. Lost keeps me interested no doubt, but no matter how interesting a show is I tend to fall asleep during those 10 o'clock shows.

this means I can watch Supernatural and then Lost without having to record either one ... YAY!

And, hopefully, means the numbers for SN will improve back to where they were before Lost got found in the same @#$#% time slot!

I don't have class on Fridays so this works just fine for me. It's certainly better than that Monday timeslot that had been mentioned earlier this season.

I am glad that I am not the only one who thinks Wednesday night tv is horrible. why isn't there anything scheduled for that night. I am sure glad I upgraded my cable subscription.

I really do think this is good news for Lost, which is one of my favorite shows on TV (up there with Friday Night Lights and Dexter), but am I the only person who liked Big Shots?

I have to agree with the others about it being late - I'll have to see it on Tivo the next day like I did last year. I thought they didn't like being on at 10 - they lost numbers last year when they did that.
I also agree that there is too much on Thursdays.
At least I'll get to watch The Office, 30 Rock etc. with no problems. At least ABC didn't have to make me decide between those.

Is this really good news for LOST. Last year when it aired at 10 it didn't do that well. You could make an argument that Grey's is a better lead-in than whatever was on before LOST last year, but i am still not certain about this. We will see

Yes! Best news ever (next to the end of the strike, that is)! I can now watch Supernatural and Lost without having to record one of them! Woo hoo! Of course, then the Office comes back and I'm once again in a quandry, but at least I won't have to try and watch three shows in the same time slot.

Sweet bliss!

Eh - so what? Not a "Lost" fan so it doesn't matter to me where they air it...I'm just waiting for the new episodes of "Ugly Betty" and "Grey's" to start - that gets me excited!!!
