House Exclusive: David Morse Joins Cast!

Here's some fresh House prattle for you kids: The show has recruited former Hackster David Morse for a multi-episode arc. According to exec producer Katie Jacobs, Morse's character — a cop named Michael Tritter — will face off with Hugh Laurie in a battle of egos. "House is going to piss off the wrong guy, and that guy just happens to be a cop," Jacobs reveals. "[Tritter's] really going to hold House accountable. We're going to have some fun with that."

It'll be great to see Jack "Boomer" Morrison from St. Elsewhere back in a hospital again, even if he's not a doctor. It will be interesting to see whether he has the acting chops to be a formidible foe for House! I can't picture it, but I'm eager to be convinced!

I can easily picture David Morse going toe to toe with House. I definitely believe he has the acting chops. Whether he could win is another story. I, for one, look forward to the face off!

Of course he won't win, but this will be intresting to see. He'll probably want to get House in trouble for drugs or somehting.

Yes, yes, that would be great! Someone finally calls House on his drug problem; a cop, no less! I love it! That would really challenge House on his God complex (no, no, that's too simplistic...it's not that House has a God complex, it's that he thinks God has a House complex!!!) lol

Ahhh, finally! The problem with the other characters vs. House is that they don't have the utter belief that what they are doing is completely right. I love the brief flashes of doubt and humanity that seem to "plague" him every now and then, but it will be very interesting to see someone who is just as arrogant and just as right face off against Dr. House.

David Morse will be great. I still miss his St. Elsewhere character, Jack Morrison. That was a great show especially the first few years.

Everytime I see David Morse, I think about that episode of St. Elsewhere when he was in that prison doing check-ups and the horrendous out-come. Gives me the wiggens everytime! What an amazing actor!

Having just seen David Morse in "16 Blocks", I'm confident that he will be able to hold his own with Hugh Laurie. I'm really looking forward to their encounters in "House". Hope we get to see him before the football break.

I had never watched House before. Now that David Morse is coming on board I will be watching the show. Love David Morse, and anyone who knows his work knows he can handle this role. He's one of the most versatile and underated actors around.

I think this is a great addition. David Morse is an excellent actor and it will be good to see him back on TV again.

House has been great for two seasons by putting great actors together with great scripts. It looks like they are continuing to do more of the same. How cool is that?

Great! I love David Morse. (gotta love the hometown guy) I always expected him to pop up on It's Always Sunny in Phila since he moved back, but nope. (One day I'll watch that show.)
