The 29-year-old UEFA EURO 2004™ winner was released by Panathinaikos FC in September after eleven years' service, and now makes his first foray into international waters. Basinas does have a get-out clause, however, should Mallorca be relegated from the Primera División.

The 27-year-old was a regular for the Russian side between 2003 and 2004, before linking up with former national-team coach Aleksandrs Starkovs at Spartak. But he has failed to find his form in the Russian capital, making just five appearances in the 2005 campaign.

Revishvili joins compatriots Lasha Salukvadze and Georgi Kinkladze at Rubin, who have qualified for next season's UEFA Cup.
Veteran Cypriot forward Kostas Malekos has made an unexpected return to football at the age of 34, signing an 18-month deal with Cypriot First Division side Olympiakos Nicosia FC.
